Process
Pre-installation:
Before installation we will meet with you to go over your project. We will go through the estimate styles, stamps and color choices that will suite your tastes and compliment your home.
Installation:
On installation day we will mark off the areas where the borders are to be installed. The sod cutter will cut a smooth line, a sand base will be compacted and the concrete curb will follow.
The curb :
The concrete is mixed on the back of the curbing trailer. When a mix is ready it is placed into a wheelbarrow and brought over to the curb machine. It compacts the mix into the desired style and extrudes the curb out of the back of the machine.
Finishing
Any finishing touches are applied to the curb before the stamp impression. Next we will broadcast a release agent over the curb to allow for the stamping tool to be released. When stamping is complete, control cuts are put in approximately every 3.5 ft. to allow the curbing to expand and contract.
Sealing :
Once the concrete has cured for at least a day, the excess release agent is washed off and an industrial cure and seal will be applied to the new concrete. It is recommended that your concrete be resealed every couple of years to keep it looking new.
